Our vineyards are placed in the beautiful Valle Isarco in the heart of South Tyrol. It’s an area with an ideal climate for white wines: 300 sunny days a year along with a rough mountain climate with temperature fluctuations of 20°C (68°F) between day and night during the ripening period. The characteristic of the soil is a loamy sand with slate and quartz phyllite among the main rock types. These factors form the base for our four fresh, strong and very mineral white wines.

Kuenhof

Kuenhof is located approximately four kilometres south of Bressanone, in an area called La Mara. An important part of our vineyards can be found around the farm, at an altitude of 550 to 650 metres (1,800 to 2,130 feet). On these beautiful south-eastern slopes, we find Riesling, Sylvaner, Veltliner and Gewürztraminer.
Characteristic of this area is the mostly shallow and coarsely structured soil.
The bedrock consists mainly of quartz phyllite and slate with little loam

LAHNER

When we are talking about the Lahner vineyard, we are talking about one of the most interesting locations of the Valle Isarco. It is placed above Kuenhof. The terraces are situated on a sunny south-eastern slope at an altitude of 650 to 750 metres (1,800 to 2,460 feet). The location allows a panoramic view of the lower part of the valley. The dry stonewalls run through the vineyard terraces, where Riesling and Sylvaner vines thrive. Slate and quartz phyllite build the soils base.

GASTEIGER

The Gasteiger vineyard is situated under the Plose mountain. Sylvaner and Riesling grapes grow here at an altitude of 650 metres (2,130 feet). An important characteristic of this vineyard is the glacial morainic gravelly soil. The cone-shaped vineyard looks to south-west and allows a splendid view to the Monte Pascolo and the Kuenhof itself.

NAFEN – TEIS

At the beginning of the Val di Funes there are lying these two vineyards. We find Veltliner and Riesling grapes at an altitude of 700 to 890 metres (2,290 to 2,900 feet). Numerous hours of sunshine during daytime and the cool air coming from the mountain group Gruppo delle Odle by night, shape this south facing vineyards. Here the soil is rich in minerals.
